Pillowcase dress that was oh soo easy to make!
If you know me very well at all, you know that my mom is the queen of crafting. Most would assume that her offspring would possess the same creativity and want-to, but I am proof (at least in my families case) that, that is a false assumption. I’m not sure if it has to do with maturity, time, or just the simple fact that I decided to try my hand at it, but I have a new found crafty side that is borderline institutional worthy! Now, as a mother of a 5 yr old, 6 yr old, and 6 month old, I don’t have a ton of time to spend on crafting, let alone blogging, but I am going to give it my best shot. On to why I am sharing this with you. I know there are a lot of moms out there that are either A. on a budget B. don’t have much experience with DIY projects and don’t know where to even try to begin, or C. just simply enjoy seeing something made by their own hands from start to finish. I happen to be a mixture of all three, as I’m sure are many of you reading this. That leads me into my purpose behind this blog. I want to try new things and inspire other women to do the same. I want to share the how-to’s and the how-to nots. I want to ask the stupid questions and, hopefully, gain the knowledge to answer other’s stupid questions! ;) I know you’ve heard the saying “if I can do it, so can you”, well when it comes to this chic and crafting, no truer words have ever been spoken!
Just a frame I picked up at another antique store. I decide a cute sister saying was better than the cherub that was previously in its place.
Like I said, I’m obsessed with making flowers out of crepe paper! This is a picture frame I picked up at an antique store that I thought was a neat shape but was a hideous shade of purple. I covered it in these crepe flowers, and I think it will go great in the girls’ shabby chic (in progress) bedroom.
